Valladolid is a small but really cute and sweet town with cenotes, a great market, a few cool attractions and a very relaxed and friendly vibe. And neither expensive nor overrun by too many tourists. 😊 When I arrived in Valladolid, I had just come from Cancún – not a fan – and was very pleasantly surprised by…. honestly everything. The town is really small, but it has a lot of charm and is one of THE cenote oases. My tip: hire a bike and visit them all. Worried about arriving drenched in sweat because of the heat? Don’t worry, the cenotes will cool you down ;D

Almost a little magical. The history of Valladolid is being diyplayed in form of pictures onto the old convent.
A cenote of the special kind. A pathway, a lightball, that moves and a wonderful refreshment that is awaiting you.
Super cheap and such delicious food. I fell in love with mexican food on this market - no joke. Crunchy Tacos with plucked meat.... SO good!
Wanna play Tarzan and Jane and swing holding onto a rope into the water and then jump in? The definitely most interactive cenote I've been to.
Valladolid is an incredibly cute and small relaxed town in Yucatán. It's park invites to chill and relax in the shadows during the day.
One of the most special cenotes in Valladolid. Or have you ever swam in a cave with stalakmites and stalaktites? Not the most common thing, huh? 😀
A beautiful, calm, and interactive ruin site. Ideal for the small and the big ones and not even close as crowded and expensive as Chichén-Itzá.
A quiet and pretty little Pueblo Mágico close to Valladolid, famous for it's yellow convent. You can also climb up a pyramid here from which you have a nice view on Izamal.
Really big, but super overcrowded and way too pricy and very touristy. Yet I included it as the majority of you probably wants to see it for it's worldwonder status anyways. Via "Read more" you'll directly get to the post.

This cenote is truly unique. At least I’ve never been to another one where you can see so many large

Quiet, peaceful and really nice and green. And quite far away from the centre. 😀
I discovered the park

Mexico City is – as already mentioned – absolutely huge. You can pretty much do everything in this big city

Market Hidalgo in Guanajuato is a bit like Guanajuato itself. Typically Mexican and yet different. It is just as bustling,

Strictly speaking, the San Cristóbal viewpoint is not actually a viewpoint. It is a staircase that leads up a mountain
