Read MoreSan Cristóbal (de las Casas) is one of these places that you simply have to fall in love with. And yes for me San Cris – as it’s being called by people knowing and loving the city – definitely also one of my favourite places in entire Mexico. It’s the streets that are calm and lively at the same time and which are constantly decorated with colourful flags, umbrellas or flowers or something else, the authentic and local atmosphere that you can feel everywhere even though San Cris is a real tourist-magnet, and the vibe that simply catches you immediately. The centre is also always full and very frequented and even though it’s a “small” city there is always something going on, the bars full and everything full of life. To stay fair: I don’t know anybody – including Latin Americans – who have not got stomach sick in San Cris. I myself have managed to get sick – apart from the last time which I’m very proud about! 😀 – every single time. But that’s a little bit and kind of part of the experiene and San Cris 😉 On the pro side the city has very low prices, is glowing of charme and – at least I – will always love to come back – even if I get stomach sick again 😀

Calm, lively, and touristy at the same time. San Cristóbal simply is full of authentic charme. Just like that is the park, that owns the flair of the city.
This corner of the canyon really gives more than it promises. Because when the canyon in live is right in front of you.... honestly nice 😀
Not just the boat trip down the canyon, also the view above the canyon is worth it having seen in live.
It's the yellow staircase. These yellow stairs attract magically and are to be fair also a fantastic instagram motive 😀
You want jewellry, clothes, bags, souvenirs or something else mexican? Here you get it. Cheap.
The city in the south of Mexico with the most beautiful streets to walk. I could literally wander the streets of San Cris for forever 🙂
My absolute favourite place in San Cris. Apart from that there are a couple of grafftitis on the way up. And in case the sun is out....Simply and easily super beautiful!
The village with the most special church I've ever been to. Apart from that you here get the real Mexico apart from the touri hotspots.
I was on plenty of mexican markets on my journey. But I have hardly ever seen any so cheap even though I was at a very touristy place.
A wonder of nature, that I have never seen like this before. A Cave in a rock-wall, that is basically going over a river that flows unter the cave.
