Puebla is a pretty “small” big city, that on the one side has the vibe of a big city – especially at the zocalo – and at the same time has the charme of a small city. I back then once travelled from Puebla to Mexico City and once vice versa and I noticed that…. Puebla vibewise as well as appearancewise is a bit like the miniature version of Mexico City. It is not the same and to my mind Puebla is definitely worth a visit, because I do connect various stories with the city. Obviously Puebla also is less chaotic, less loud and obisouly also smaller, but… the vibe and also the city itself are somwhat similar to Mexico City. And I think the reason I noticed this so much in Puebla, is because it’s the only city in which I felt like this. Admittedly Puebla is very close to Mexico City. You need like max 2 or 4? hours to get from one city to the other. So I would say: charming, lively and beautiful with a definite touch of Mexiko City. 😀 🙂 At the same time: if somebody doesn’t like Mexico City, because it’s to much for him or her (not so unlikely to happen) the vibe in Puelba is similar but in smaller 😀

The Zócalo lies in the heart of Puebla with the cathedral right next to it. No matter at what time of the day you pass here there is always something going on.
A colourful market full of jewellery, clothes, mexican souvenirs, sculptures and basically small pieces of art. A bit expensive, but amazing for strolling around.
I admit I love sweets. Nevertheless who could resist an entire street full of traditional and typical mexican sweets? 😀
I was purely coincidentally in Puebla on the 5th of may - Cinco de Mayo - and.... had no idea what I was running into. A parade, a fair and... just an awesome atmosphere. A bit like carnival in Cologne. Really cool 😀
San Pedro Cholula is a daytrip from Puebla and known for it's yellow church on the hill. Doesn't sound like much? Is actually cooler than expected an the view is really nice too 🙂
On my excursion through Puebla I did discover quite a few cool things. Among others undergroundtunels - extremely cool - and an old library 🙂
The viewpoint of Puebla lies a bit out of the centre in a Park. The view is nice though and on top you get a sign in front 🙂
I… no yes it is what it is I love sweets. And anyone who knows me knows that I would
