Park, Cathedral & Dance Nights Oaxaca

Oaxaca City – as it’s the capital of the state Oaxaca – is the first city I truly felt home in on my journey. I already felt very comfortable in other places like for example Mérida and I fell in love with San Cris, but Oaxaca received me with open, hearty and warm arms and gave me the feeling, that I was home. It was the colourful and friendly hustle and bustle of the centre, the super relaxed and hearty atmosphere of the streets and the dance nights in the park in front of the cathedral that made my heart melt. Not to forget the anniversary – that was a party! – or Tlayudas, the local speciality of Oaxaca that I could eat all the time. Oaxaca simply surrounds you with this heartyiness and openness that reminded me of my home city Cologne. And apart from that I wouldn’t know who could resist the charme of Oaxaca. This place is something for people who like it loud and chaotic and at the same time calm and relaxed 😊
