There are a few things I particularly like when travelling. These include viewpoints. I love viewpoints! I promise that if there is a viewpoint in a place I visit, I will go 99 per cent of the time. The one per cent is for when there are several and I then have to choose which ones are most worth it.
To be honest, this viewpoint doesn’t really look like a cool viewpoint from downstairs as it’s not particularly high and located between two beaches. Plus it doesn’t stand out. I almost walked past it too. But! As I happened to be in exploring mood plus the viewpoint was simply on my way along the beaches, I climbed up the steps.
Guys, never judge a book by it’s cover, they say, right? The view from up there is absolutely fantastic for the relatively low altitude. I was surprised myself. Sure, you don’t have a perfect view, but you basically get a kind of overview of a part of Playa Zicatela. Like a kind of different perspective. And honestly? It’s really cool!

So I would advise the following: As you will definitely end up near Playa Principal, why don’t you just climb up the steps to the viewpoint? At least if you’re coming from Playa Zicatela – the hidden treasure lies between the two beaches.
