There are a few things I particularly like when travelling. These include viewpoints. I love viewpoints! I promise that if there is a viewpoint in a place, I will go to it 99 per cent of the time. The one per cent is limited to when there are several and I then decide which ones are most worthwhile.
To be honest, this viewpoint looks like absolutely nothing because it’s not particularly high and is located on the edge between two beaches and simply doesn’t stand out. I almost walked past it too. But! As I happened to be out exploring and, to be honest, the viewpoint was simply on my way along the beaches, I climbed up the steps.
People, never judge a book by it’s cover, they say, don’t they? The view from up there is absolutely fantastic for the relatively low altitude in comparison. I was surprised myself. Sure, you don’t have a perfect view, but you basically get a kind of overview of a part of Playa Zicatela. Like a kind of different perspective. Honestly? It’s mega!

So I would advise the following: As you will definitely end up near Playa Principal, why don’t you just climb up the steps to the viewpoint? At least if you’re coming from Playa Zicatela – the hidden treasure lies between the two beaches.
