The centre of San Miguel de Allende is pretty, cute, peaceful and lively. Meaning it’s quite crowded and lively, but still perfectly okay and really cute. At the heart of the centre are the cathedral and the park. The special thing about the cathedral is that it is – at least in my memory – salmon pink and also reminds me a bit of a small version of the cathedral in Cologne. At least a little bit. What I’m trying to say is… it stands out from other Mexican churches 😊 PS: The cathedral is illuminated in the evening! A real eye-catcher! 😀
The park is just really relaxed. You’re offered treats, snacks and knick-knacks everywhere, people chill out on the benches, enjoy the sunshine and there’s a really cute pavilion in the middle of the park. It’s just really cute and beautiful. 😊
Go or not?  Yes. Period. Like if you’re in San Miguel de Allende, it will and should be the first thing you head for. The centre is really beautiful and totally cute. It reflects the vibe of the small town and invites everyone to feel at home.
