Small, quiet and cute. San Marcos is one of the villages on Lago Atitlán and cool because you can jump into the lake from a high platform. There also is a small viewpoint with a nice view and apart from that San Marcos itself is also quite charming. The view from the lookout point isn’t the most spectacular, but if you’re already in San Marcos, why not? And when you come down from the viewpoint, you have to walk through San Marcos to get back to the boat. Since San Marcos is very quiet and really cute, the short walk through the village is very pleasant 😊
Go or not? I think a day trip to San Marcos is definitely worth it, yes. 😊
